Sickness and School

With the holidays approaching, we also see an increase in illness.  Help us decrease the spread of germs and keep kids happy, healthy, in class, and ready to learn.  Please practice and encourage appropriate hand washing with soap and water as this is proven to be an effective way to reduce the spread of germs.  Also, cover that cough / sneeze and get your flu vaccine!

Attendance is very important, however, please keep your child at home if they have a fever of 100 or more.  They should remain at home for 24 hours from the last fever of 100 without fever reducing medications.
Please keep your child at home if they have had vomiting or diarrhea.  They should remain at home for 24 hours from the last vomiting or diarrhea episode.
Students should be assessed by their health care provider for rashes and or pink eyes as these conditions can also be contagious. Thank you for your help!  Have a happy, safe, healthy holiday season.
