Spelling Bee

Our school spelling bee was held on Thursday, January 10. We had 32 participants. Alicia Gutierrez was our runner up. Payne Roach, an 8th grader, won by spelling tremulous. He will go to our county bee on February 12. Congratulations to everyone who participated. Good luck, Payne!

SCS CTE, Stanly Community College, Stanly Co Chamber of Commerce, NC WORKS, and Stanly County EDC have partnered to host the first Stanly A.C.E event. This event will be held February 12th from 5:30-7:30 at the Agri-Civic Center. This is a great opportunity to expose students to career opportunities in Stanly County!

Sickness and School

With the holidays approaching, we also see an increase in illness. Help us decrease the spread of germs and keep kids happy, healthy, in class, and ready to learn. Please practice and encourage appropriate hand washing with soap and water as this is proven to be an effective way to reduce the spread of germs. Also, cover that cough / sneeze and get your flu vaccine!
