Hello NSMS 8th Grade Students and Parents!!
I am Mrs. Wittman, the 8th grade Inclusion Teacher. I will be helping students in their Reading and Math classes this year.
I am originally from Chesapeake, VA. I moved to New London, NC in 1995 and began my teaching career in NC at Millingport Elementary teaching students with behavior disabilities.
I have been teaching for more than 25 years. I started my career in Chesapeake, VA after I received my degree from Old Dominion University. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Middle School Language Arts (my favorite subject to teach) and Science. I then went on to Regent University and received my MBA in Learning Disabilities. I also have a Masters in School Administration from Wingate University.
I have taught over the years Language Arts, Science, and Students with Disabilities. I have worked as a Behavior Specialist in Montgomery County Schools and an EC Lead Teacher in Cabarrus County Schools.
I am always here for my students. I have a high expectation for them to work hard and do the best they can do. Why??? I want my students to go to college or into the workforce and be successful adults. I never believe a disability should hold a student back from doing want they want to do. Hard work pays off!!
