6th Grade and IXL

6th graders at North Stanly Middle School in Mrs. Palmer’s math blocks recently started a new math online program called IXL. What is IXL? “IXL (from "I excel") is a math website for K-12 (subscription based). It has unlimited questions on thousands of math topics and a comprehensive reporting system.” The math teachers at NSMS use this to supplement their instruction.

6th Grade Moon Books

Mrs. Palmer, a 6th grade teacher, partnered with Mrs. Furr's first grade class at Badin Elementary to share moon books written by the sixth graders. Both first and sixth grade science curriculum includes learning about the phases of the moon.
