If you have a student athlete playing a spring sport at NSMS, you need to attend this meeting.

The Chinese New Year, also known as the Lunar New Year, is a major
holiday in Greater China. It is celebrated on the first day of the first lunar month of the Chinese calendar. The actual date of the holiday is different each year as a result of when the new moon appears which varies between January 21 and February 20. The Chinese New Year for this year, 2020, falls on January 25.

Our athletic eligibility requirements will be changing soon. Please click on the link below to make sure your student athlete will be ready to play.

NC Check-Ins #1 will be given on Monday, October 28 and Tuesday, October 29. It is important that your child is on time and present to school on these days. If you have questions or concerns about the NC Check-Ins, please contact Jennifer Flowe at (704) 961-3700.

Winter Break is Monday, December 23 - Friday, January 3.

Thank you Joe Maus Foundation for supporting schools in our community. Our students and staff will enjoy reading NEW library books. The Joe Maus Foundation donated $500.00 to purchase library books.

Chromebook damage happens. If it happens to you, here are the steps to follow:
1. Damage to CB (screen, hinge, etc.) occurs
2. CB is brought to the media center
3. CB damage is assessed
4. Fine is put in Destiny
5. Mr. Goodwin meets with student
6. CB is fixed
7. CB is kept in media center until fine is paid
8. Student pays Mrs. Talbert
9. CB is returned to student
**The majority of our damage is for CB screens. Screens are $20.00.
